Qualifications

Toromont Cat is seeking a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment, to visit customer sites in a Toromont Service truck, providing expert service and maintaining high standards for timely repairs with integrity.

Note: This position operates on a 7/7 rotation.

Typical daily responsibilities include:

• Maintaining a strong work ethic and positive attitude to ensure timely and quality work

• Diagnosing mechanical issues using Caterpillar testing equipment and technical skills
• Providing quality repairs within established time standards and building trusted customer relationships through regular site visits

Must-have qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in a heavy-duty, heavy engine, or heavy vehicle mechanics field
• Current 421A license (applying candidates close to challenging the exam are encouraged)
• At least 3 years of experience repairing and servicing mining heavy equipment, preferably underground mining equipment
• Familiarity with Cat systems (ET and SIS) is a plus
• Valid Driver’s License (DZ license preferred)
