Job summary

Stubbe's Precast in Harley Township, Ontario is seeking a Maintenance Millwright to diagnose and repair equipment across our precast facilities.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will operate cranes and machinery, perform PMs, troubleshoot issues, weld and fabricate as needed, and document work in the CMMS system. A licensed millwright with 1–3 years of experience and strong communication is required; own tools and reliable transport are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years as a licensed millwright.
• Proficient in the use of all tools of trade.
• Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and conveying systems.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Provide your own standard tools.
• Proficient in CMMS and email.
• Detailed record-keeping abilities.
• Strong work ethic and highly motivated.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment across the precast facilities.
• Operate equipment such as cranes, forklifts, milling machines, lathes and saws.
• Execute scheduled PMs and report findings to supervisor.
• Weld and fabricate as required.
• Facilitate start-up and installation of new equipment.
• Document work in the CMMS system.
• Coordinate downtime with maintenance supervisor.

Job description

Location- Harley, Ontario (between Brantford and Woodstock)

Overview

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role of Maintenance Millwright is to diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment and utilities used within the precast manufacturing plants & buildings.

THE DAY TO DAY

• Perform all duties in a safe manner.
• Work with other Maintenance team members to accomplish tasks.
• Operate equipment such as overhead cranes, genie booms, forklifts, milling machine, lathe, horizonal bandsaw and other hand-powered tools.
• Troubleshoot and test equipment.
• Performing mechanical repairs on equipment.
• Execute schedule PM's and report findings to supervisor.
• Weld and fabricate as required.
• Facilitate the start-up and installation of new equipment.
• Work is performed and documented through a CMMS program
• Work with maintenance supervisor for scheduling of down time to work on equipment or projects

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 1-3 years as a licensed millwright
• Proficient in the use of all tools of trade,
• A firm understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and conveying systems
• Practical working experiences are an asset
• Strong work ethic and highly motivated.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Reliable transportation
