Job summary

Stubbe's Precast is seeking a Maintenance Millwright to diagnose and repair equipment across our precast manufacturing facilities. You will operate cranes, forklifts, milling machines, lathes, bandsaws and other trade tools while performing mechanical repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance.

Documentation through CMMS and downtime planning with supervision are required. Ideal candidates hold a licensed millwright credential with 1–3 years of experience, possess strong communication skills,

Qualifications

• Licensed millwright with 1–3 years of experience.
• Proficient with tools of the trade.
• Solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and conveying systems.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivated attitude.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Detail-oriented record keeping.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Provide your own standard tools.
• Proficient with CMMS and email.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment in precast manufacturing plants and buildings.
• Troubleshoot and test equipment.
• Perform mechanical repairs and PMs as scheduled.
• Weld and fabricate as required.
• Support start-up and installation of new equipment.
• Document work through CMMS and coordinate downtime with supervisor.

Maintenance Millwright

Location- Harley, Ontario (between Brantford and Woodstock)

Overview

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role of Maintenance Millwright is to diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment and utilities used within the precast manufacturing plants & buildings.

THE DAY TO DAY

• Perform all duties in a safe manner.
• Work with other Maintenance team members to accomplish tasks.
• Operate equipment such as overhead cranes, genie booms, forklifts, milling machine, lathe, horizonal bandsaw and other hand-powered tools.
• Troubleshoot and test equipment.
• Performing mechanical repairs on equipment.
• Execute schedule PM’s and report findings to supervisor.
• Weld and fabricate as required.
• Facilitate the start-up and installation of new equipment.
• Work is performed and documented through a CMMS program
• Work with maintenance supervisor for scheduling of down time to work on equipment or projects

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 1-3 years as a licensed millwright
• Proficient in the use of all tools of trade,
• A firm understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and conveying systems
• Practical working experiences are an asset
• Strong work ethic and highly motivated.
