Responsibilities

• Resolve complex mechanical system issues (troubleshooting) and provide expert support to diagnose critical failures.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain functional test procedures for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with engineering requirements and identifying required specialized tooling.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering to review, validate, and implement technical requirements for mechanical systems.
• Plan, manage, and oversee the implementation of production changes while minimizing impacts on operations.
• Provide advanced technical support to production teams and continuously improve operational processes.

How to thrive in this role

• College Diploma (DEC) in Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in aviation, including at least 3 years in a specialist role.
• Strong expertise in mechanical systems, with the ability to rigorously diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Previous experience as an aircraft mechanical technician or in aircraft maintenance (considered a strong asset).
• Experience as a mechanical team lead is also a significant advantage.
• Demonstrated autonomy, initiative, and strong organizational skills.
• Bilingual (English and French) with excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with Bombardier aircraft products is considered a significant advantage.
