Job summary

Bombardier engineers are sought to support Global Aircraft systems (5500/6500/8000) and deliver timely engineering input for production aircraft. The role emphasizes identifying root causes during system tests and communicating clear engineering dispositions.

Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master’s in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and about 5 years of functional testing experience across propulsion, pneumatics, flight controls, and hydraulics. Collaboration across teams is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Global Aircraft systems for 5500/6500/8000 models.
• Deliver engineering support to build and test production aircraft.
• Provide timely engineering-guided root cause analysis for systems issues during ground and flight tests.
• Witness system functional testing and conduct investigations on propulsion and pneumatic systems.
• Develop solutions/reports and provide engineering disposition to non-conformances.
• Review functional test requirements and translate into mature tests.
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders to support investigations.
• Develop good working relationships with departments and suppliers.

What are your contributions to the team?

Support Global Aircraft (5500/6500/8000) Aircraft Systems and responsible for delivering highly effective and timely engineering support to the build and testing of the Production aircraft

Provide timely engineering-guided support for root cause identification of systems engineering issues encountered during system ground & flight Functional Testing Procedures.

Witness system functional testing and conduct technical-engineering investigations on Propulsion and Pneumatic Aircraft systems related issues, analyze and develop solutions/recommendations and reports.

Provide engineering disposition to RNCs.

Review functional test engineering requirements and ensure translation into mature functional tests.

Interface with internal and external stakeholders to support technical engineering investigations

Develop good working relationships with various departments within BA and with suppliers.

How to thrive in this role?

You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Formal training in Systems Engineering is an asset.

You have good understanding and 5 years of experience in functional testing of Propulsion, Pneumatics, Flight controls and Hydraulic systems.

You are effective at bringing disciplines together, clarifying responsibilities, structuring complex problems, and ensuring that aircraft-level decisions are properly documented, justified, verified, and certifiable.

You are conversant with design, qualification, and certification test requirements of Aircraft Systems

You are familiar to perform system data analysis and ready to use in-house Software and diagnostics tools

You possess strong integration skills, in both system partner management and system technical integration.

You are familiar with Microsoft Office software tools.

You have strong communication skills, ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

You strive for harmonious cohesive teamwork and support knowledge sharing amongst team members.

You have solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with different stakeholders internally and externally.
