Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Dorval, Canada, is seeking a Methods Specialist for Functional Test Control of Mechanical Systems (FTC). The role requires a college diploma in aircraft maintenance or mechanical engineering technology, 8+ years in aviation, and strong bilingual communication.

Qualifications

• College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years aviation experience, including at least 3 years in a specialist role.
• Expertise in aircraft mechanical systems: hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, flight control, landing gear, environmental control systems.
• Experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AME) or mechanical technician is a strong asset.
• Experience as a mechanical team leader in aerospace manufacturing or maintenance is an asset.
• Bilingualism is essential with strong communication abilities.
• Knowledge of SAP, Macpac, and Quicksilver is an asset.
• Familiarity with Challenger aircraft products is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex issues related to aircraft mechanical systems and provide expertise in diagnosing critical failures.
• Develop and optimize functional test procedures for mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with engineering requirements and identifying the required specialized tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering to review, validate, and implement technical requirements related to mechanical systems.
• Plan, manage, and oversee the implementation of production changes while minimizing operational impacts.
• Provide in-depth technical support to production teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in root cause analysis, technical investigations, and corrective action implementation to improve product quality and reliability.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a college diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of eight (8) years of aviation experience, including at least three (3) years in a specialist role.
• Youpossessstrongexpertiseinaircraftmechanical systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, flight control, landing gear, and environmental control systems.
• You have a proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues with precision and efficiency.
• Experience asan AircraftMaintenance Technician (AME) or mechanical technician is considered a strong asset.
• Experience as a mechanical team leader in an aerospace manufacturing or maintenance environment is also a significant asset.
• Youdemonstrateexcellent autonomy, initiative, and organizational skills.
• Bilingualism is essential, along withstrong communicationabilities.
• Knowledge of SAP,Macpac, and Quicksilver is an asset.
• Familiarity with Challengeraircraftproducts is a significant advantage.
