Job summary

Fitness World Canada in Burnaby, BC is seeking a Membership Advisor to deliver a best-in-class member experience. The role involves inbound and outbound sales, guiding tours of our facilities, and helping members enroll while upholding company policies and values.

You will manage member interactions, contribute to retention, and support daily club operations. This full-time position offers base plus commission, benefits, and opportunities for career growth within our expanding fitness community.

Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly sales goals through leads, appointments, shows, enrolments and referrals via community outreach, outbound calls, referrals, and social media.
• Grow member base through lead generation, membership sales and referrals.
• Provide engaging tours of club facilities and services to convert leads into members.
• Handle member management tasks such as check-in, updating payment info, and cash reconciliations.
• Process payments for agreements, retail, and services in the Member Management System and POS.
• Address member concerns per policies and report incidents to GM.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the club and post signage.
• Collaborate with fitness instructors and personal trainers across departments.
• Take on additional duties as needed.

Membership Advisor – Earn up to $75,000 in Annual Pay

The Membership Advisor (MA) reports to the General Manager and ensures a best-in-class fitness experience for members by demonstrating the value a Fitness World Signature location offers. The MA is inbound and outbound sales activities to achieve their monthly targets. The MA is also responsible for the achievement of member retention and satisfaction; execution of company policies, procedures, and programs; and exemplifying the company’s culture and values.

Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly sales goals through the execution of leads, appointments, shows, enrolments and referrals via community outreach, outbound phone calls, referrals, and social media.
• Grow our member base through lead generation, membership sales and collection of referrals.
• Perform engaging and knowledgeable tours of our club facilities, programs, and services to convert leads into new members.
• Create a friendly, helpful, and positive member experience for members, while performing various member management tasks, for example: member check-in, action check-in messages, collect past dues, update payment information, cash reconciliations, etc.
• Facilitate and process payment for agreements, retail and services in the Member Management System (ABC Fitness) and Point of Sale.
• Address member concerns timely by following company policies, procedures and documentation requirements and immediately report incidents to the General Manager.
• Immediately address cleanliness, health and safety concerns and incidents; and report incidents to the General Manager.
• Participate in daily walkthroughs to ensure the club is clean and well maintained, including equipment, floors, walls, changerooms, washrooms, etc. and health and safety signage is posted.
• Foster strong relationships other departments and functional areas of the company, for example fitness class instructors, personal training, etc.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
