Odyssey Medical is a nationally incorporated Canadian business specializing in Event Medical and Risk Management services. Delivering approximately 2,500 days of simultaneous event coverage annually, Odyssey supports private and public clients hosting events of various sizes and complexities. Backed by credentialed and insured multidisciplinary response teams, Odyssey provides front-line patient care across events such as marathons, cycling races, obstacle courses, concerts, festivals, stadium events, and community celebrations. Additionally, Odyssey supports venues like nightclubs and film & TV sets with year-round medical team coverage. The company has an established Medical Direction and symptom relief program to assist first responders, medics, and advanced medical practitioners in delivering efficient, discreet, and exceptional care.

Requirements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :

Odyssey Medical seeks experienced individuals in Alberta to join our Medical Volunteer Program within the EVENT MEDICAL TEAM division. Key event locations include Calgary, Edmonton, Strathmore, and Camrose. As vital members of our medical volunteer team, you will support front-line staff at major events, providing services to clients and patients.

  • Our mission is to provide primary medical response to on-site emergencies. We are looking for team members who can:
  • Complete all mandatory company training
  • Create a responsive, respectful, and welcoming environment for attendees, patients, and staff
  • Work comfortably in fast-paced, high-stress indoor and outdoor environments

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE :

  • You are a student (PCP, Medical, or RN) or a newly certified medical professional motivated to gain experience in event medical services
  • You hold or are working towards IFA, EFR, EMR, PCP, ACP, RN certifications
  • You can adhere to your scope of practice, prioritize patient care, and learn effectively
  • Customer service-oriented mindset
  • Coachable with a willingness to learn
  • Hands-on event medical experience
  • Field training and leadership skills
  • Networking connections within the medical community
  • Opportunities to attend events across Alberta
