Youth Art Club is a free, drop-in program where middle and high school-aged youth can explore their artistic side. Attendees can bring their own art to work on or participate in a project led by the Gallery’s Outreach Coordinator. Supplies and snacks are provided.
Crafternoon is held at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery (601 3rd Ave S) in Lethbridge, AB. Volunteers are welcome to attend one or multiple sessions.
Volunteer responsibilities include assisting with set up, participating in the craft activity, assisting the program leader and participants throughout the afternoon, and helping with clean up.
14 years old or above
We are seeking 1-2 volunteers per session to assist with programs. The program runs from 1pm to 4pm with a volunteer call time at 12:30PM.

Join us at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery on Thursday, May 15th from 5pm to 7pm to celebrate the young artists of our annual Art’s Alive & Well in the Schools student art exhibition.
Join us at the Gallery on Saturday, May 10th from 7pm to 9pm for the opening of the Art’s Alive & Well in the Schools exhibition, featuring a student art mentorship showcase organized by Michelle Sylvestre and our new Shop at SAAG feature artist L.C. Cariou. Enjoy artworks, refreshments, mingle with the community, and meet the artists. The opening is free for all.
Crafternoon is a fun, family-friendly program offering opportunities to learn new art techniques inspired by current exhibitions. Held on the last Saturday of each month, it features self-directed drop-in activities related to the exhibitions, exploring techniques and themes used by featured artists. Programs may be led by the Gallery’s Programming Team or guest artists. This program is free with admission. All supplies are provided.
