Job summary

WELL Health Clinic Networks Inc. is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to support physicians and deliver excellent patient care in a fast-growing clinic network located at Port Credit.

You will handle administrative tasks, assist in labs, coordinate patient care, and maintain confidentiality, with flexible shifts and EMR experience preferred. The role offers part-time, on-site work in a medical setting within a supportive team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.

  • Attention to detail and ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Ability to analyze, problem-solve and take the initiative.

  • Ability to work varying shift patterns as needed by the clinic.
  • Experience as an MOA or MOA programs certification is an asset.
  • Experience with EMR system OSCAR also an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative duties - answer calls, greet patients, schedule appointments, manage referrals, result management and billing.
  • Lab Duties - collect and prepare laboratory specimens or perform basic tests, dispose of supplies, sterilize instruments.
  • Patient Care duties – coordinate patient care, check in, prep, escort to exam rooms, prepare rooms, answer questions, provide post-appointment service.
  • General duties – keep patient information confidential and secure; perform other tasks as required.

Position Summary

What you will be doing
  • Administrative duties - answer calls and greet patients in a helpful, respectful, and efficient manner, schedule appointments, manage referrals, result management and handle billing.
  • Lab Duties - include collecting and preparing laboratory specimens or perform basic laboratory tests on the premises, dispose of contaminated supplies, and sterilize medical instruments.
  • Patient Care duties – Coordinate patient care through the clinic: checking in, prepping, escorting to exam rooms, preparing exam or treatment rooms, answering questions, providing post-appointment service, monitoring the waiting room.
  • General duties – To ensure to keep patient information confidential and secure at all times. Perform all other related clinical, administrative tasks or special tasks as required by clinic management.
