Position Summary

Are you a registered Medical Laboratory Technologist looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Laboratory department. Under the direction of the Chief Medical Technologist, performs laboratory work and related duties in the field of Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Accessioning, Phlebotomy, and Quality Control Management.

Shift Rotation / Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, Days - 08:00 to 16:00

Location: Northern Haida Gwaii Hospital and Health Centre

Provides medical service to Old Masset, Port Clements and surrounding areas. The hospital and health centre has 4 Acute Care beds, 1 Palliative Care bed, 4 Long‑term Care beds and a 4 unit assisted living complex.

Qualfications
  • Must be CSMLS certified in Medical Laboratory Technology and hold current registration with the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).
  • Must have three to four years' post Registered Technologist experience as a Medical Technologist in all disciplines of the laboratory.
  • Supervisory training and experience preferred.
