Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to product development in Kimberley, BC, spanning concept through to production and market-ready launches. You will design with 3D CAD, create detailed drawings, run performance tests, and collaborate with designers, electrical engineers, and marketing to realize quality products.

Prototyping and testing experience, plus strong communication skills, are essential in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of product development or mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks or Inventor) and prototyping methods.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical products and systems using 3D CAD.
• Create detailed drawings, specifications, and tolerance analyses.
• Conduct performance testing, validation, and reliability studies on prototypes and production units.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, engineers, and marketing.
• Source components and work with suppliers to realize products on time and within cost.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement design improvements throughout development.
