About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their consumer products division in Kimberley . This role focuses on the design, development, and refinement of innovative mechanical components for a range of consumer goods. You will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept generation and sketching to detailed CAD modeling, prototyping, and final production preparation. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA) and a passion for creating user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and high-performing products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical parts and assemblies for new consumer product lines.
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and photorealistic renderings using industry-standard software.
  • Conduct design validation through prototyping, testing, and analysis to ensure product functionality and durability.
