Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to lead production testing of electrical components and systems in Kimberley. You will design, implement and maintain test procedures, fixtures and equipment, and analyze test data to drive quality improvements.

The role requires a strong background in electrical principles, test equipment calibration, and collaboration with R&D and manufacturing teams to improve testability and manufacturability. A hands‑on approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical testing, ideally in production/manufacturing.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators and spectrum analyzers.
• Experience with programming for ATE (LabVIEW, Python, or C#).
• Strong understanding of electronics, circuit analysis and failure analysis techniques.
• Excellent documentation and attention to detail.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and validate electrical test procedures for production lines.
• Design and build test fixtures and automated test equipment (ATE).
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze test results, identify trends, and report corrective actions.
• Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing to improve testability and manufacturability.
• Ensure testing complies with ISO 9001 and safety regulations.
• Train production staff on testing procedures and equipment.
