Job summary

The Miller Group in Ontario is seeking a skilled Truck & Coach Technician to service and maintain our fleet of light vehicles, heavy trucks and equipment. You will diagnose and repair on-site, in shop, and during off-site calls, ensuring a safe, well-maintained fleet.

You must be comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and have a 310T license with a valid G license; DZ is an asset. Expect on-call duties during winter with potential weeknights and weekend shifts and a focus on safety and

Qualifications

  • Licensed as a 310T Truck & Coach Technician.
  • Valid G license.
  • Experience repairing hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Own set of basic tools.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in any season.
  • DZ license considered an asset.
  • Roadside service experience.
  • Experience with diagnostic software and electronic document/time keeping.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Valid Ozone Depletion Training.

Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain Miller equipment including light vehicles, heavy trucks and hydraulics.
  • Handle off-site service calls and on-road repairs as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and complete daily service documentation.
  • Promote a safety-first culture and support decision making for repairs.
  • Be on-call in winter months; there may be weeknights, weekends or holidays with shift premiums.

Day in the Life

You will be the backbone of our fleet, responsible for servicing and maintaining all of our equipment, including light vehicles, heavy trucks and equipment, hydraulics, electrical and heavy power trains. Each day will be different as some service calls are off site or require emergency on-road repairs requiring you to diagnose and rectify the problem. Preventative and predictive maintenance will be important to stay on top of, as well as daily service documentation to ensure overall organization of the shop.

Safety will always be your number one priority as you promote, lead, and execute a safety-first culture for all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants. Your opinion will be valued as you assist in decision making for any outside repairs to the equipment as well as support for overall general shop maintenance. You will be an essential part of our team ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently, like a well-oiled machine.

During the winter months, our plows run 24/7, so willingness to remain on call and work some weeknights, weekends, and holidays will be required. Different shift options are available with premiums.

Qualifications
  • 310T Truck & Coach Technician License
  • Valid G license

Compensation Data

$25.50 - $42.50/hr (depending on level and License)
