Job summary

The Miller Group in Ontario is seeking a skilled Truck & Coach Technician to service a diverse fleet, including light vehicles and heavy trucks. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance, documenting work for shop efficiency and reliability.

Winter on-call duties may require weeknights, weekends, and holidays. A valid 310T licence and G licence are essential, with experience in hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostic software preferred.

Qualifications

• 310T Truck & Coach Technician License.
• Valid G license.
• Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Possess own set of tools.
• Comfortable working outdoors in any season.
• DZ license, an asset.
• Road side service experience.
• Experience with diagnostic software and electronic document/time keeping.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Valid Ozone Depletion Training.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain all equipment including light vehicles, heavy trucks, hydraulics, electrical and power trains.
• Diagnose and rectify on-site or emergency repairs.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance with daily service documentation.
• Promote and support a safety-first culture on site.
• Attend to winter on-call needs and seasonal on-call rotation.

Day in the Life

You will be the backbone of our fleet, responsible for servicing and maintaining all of our equipment, including light vehicles, heavy trucks and equipment, hydraulics, electrical and heavy power trains. Each day will be different as some service calls are off site or require emergency on‑road repairs requiring you to diagnose and rectify the problem. Preventative and predictive maintenance will be important to stay on top of, as well as daily service documentation to ensure overall organization of the shop.

Safety will always be your number one priority as you promote, lead, and execute a safety‑first culture for all employees, sub‑contractors, and consultants. Your opinion will be valued as you assist in decision making for any outside repairs to the equipment as well as support for overall general shop maintenance. You will be an essential part of our team ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently, like a well‑oiled machine.

During the winter months, our plows run 24/7, so willingness to remain on call and work some weeknights, weekends, and holidays will be required. Different shift options are available with premiums.

Compensation

$25.50 - $42.50/hr (depending on level and license)
