Job summary

Thrifty-Foods in Delta is seeking a Meat Wrapper to deliver friendly, efficient service while handling meat and poultry products according to safety standards. You will wrap, label, price, date, and display products, assist customers, and keep the work area clean and organized.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to stand for long periods, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Flexible hours and overtime may be required; prior retail food experience is a plus.

The Meat Wrapper is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, accurate and timely fashion. The Meat Wrapper will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

Here’s where you’ll have an impact:

• Adherence to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, corporate policies and Health and Safety, and other programs and initiatives
• Provide customer service to meet customer needs
• Accurately wraps, packages, prices, labels, and dates all meat and poultry products in a financially responsible manner
• Keep work area clean and presentable at all times
• Handle, organize, and rotate products in accordance with company standards
• Accurately records information in all appropriate logs
• Perform program execution and merchandising product, following company presentation standards
• Handle and prepare deli products in accordance with company quality standards and food safety protocols
• Increase store sales by actively promoting products
• Participate in the training of junior staff
• Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures
• Maintain and prepare meat products for service case, if applicable
• Process department shrink
• Other duties as required
