Job summary

AgeCare in Canada is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide care to residents according to care plans and help identify resident needs. You will assist in maintaining a safe, supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities include monitoring care, documenting information, attending training, and onboarding new staff. Compliance with IPAC and company standards is required to ensure high-quality geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meets vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meets the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meets the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of simple treatments and bedside care.
• Understanding sanitation and cleaning for geriatric residents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor resident care against the care plan and report findings.
• Document care information as directed.
• Attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops.
• Assist in onboarding new staff.
• Follow IPAC policies and procedures.
