Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals in an assisted living or medical facility in Vaughan, Ontario. You will work with therapeutic diets, ensuring accuracy in portions and safety in food handling, while maintaining cleanliness and dining room standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to sanitation guidelines, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in dietary support or hospitality and customer service.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ability to prepare meals according to instructions.
• Good time-management and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic food preparation and serve meals according to therapeutic diets and portion standards.
• Set, clear, clean, and sanitize dining spaces.
• Maintain and perform cleaning duties per schedule.
• Monitor and restock service areas.
• Observe HACCP guidelines for safe handling and preparation.
• Follow WHMIS and MSDS guidelines for chemicals, cleaning, and sanitizing agents.
• Support with special function catering as delegated.
