Job summary

Grand River Personnel Limited in Kitchener is recruiting an entry-level Material Handler (Shipping/Receiving) with a valid Counter Balance Forklift license to join our client site.

Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm. Pay: $17.80/hr plus 4% vacation pay weekly. Responsibilities include moving stock, preparing shipping docs, arranging pickups, cycle counts, packing, and maintaining an organized warehouse.

Qualifications

• Valid Counter Balance Forklift License (in-house licenses not acceptable).
• Minimum 3 months experience on Counter Balanced Forklift.
• Ability to lift 25 kg safely and consistently.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift for stock movement (20% of duties).
• Prepare and process shipping documentation.
• Arrange pickups with transport companies and obtain quotes.
• Conduct cycle counts, picking and packing.
• Keep yard and warehouse orderly and clean.

Do you have a new Forklift license and are looking for an entry level role to gain some experience?

On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting for an Material Handler (Shipping/Receiving) with a Valid Forklift license in KITCHENER.

Shift: Monday – Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm

Pay Rate: $17.80/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!

Responsibilities:

• 20% Forklift duties, 80% other duties throughout warehouse
• Move stock throughout warehouse using Counter Balance Forklift (must have valid license – “In-house” License is not a valid license)
• Prepare and process shipping documentation
• Arrange pick ups with transport companies, obtain freight quotes
• Cycle counts, picking and packing
• Organization of yard and warehouse (keep orderly, remove debris/garbage, recycling, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Valid Counter balance Forklift License. (In house certifications are not acceptable for this role)
• Minimum 3 months experience on Counter Balanced Forklift
• Ability to lift 25kg safely and consistently (this is not just a Forklift Operator role)
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting needed
• Comfortable moving for majority of shift
• CSA Approved Footwear
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Reliable, punctual and dependable
