Job summary

Sunspace Modular Enclosures in Lindsay, ON is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be safety‑focused, organized and comfortable using computers to complete inventory and material transactions.

The role involves safely operating a forklift, loading/unloading shipments, supplying production with materials, recording inventory movements, and helping with shipping, receiving and general warehouse duties.

SME3450-Material Handling Lind Full Time Lindsay, ON $23 - $26 CAD per hour

Sunspace Modular Enclosures is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator / Material Handler to join our Lindsay manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be safety-focused, organized and comfortable using computers to complete inventory and material transactions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move materials throughout the facility
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments
• Supply production areas with required materials
• Receive, identify and properly store inventory
• Use computer systems to record inventory movements and material transactions
• Complete shipping, receiving and inventory documentation
• Verify quantities and report inventory discrepancies
• Conduct daily forklift inspections
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Assist with other warehouse and production duties as required

Qualifications

• Previous forklift operating experience is required
• Valid forklift certification is preferred
• Comfortable using computers and learning inventory-management software
• Previous experience with shipping, receiving or inventory control is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Able to safely lift and move materials as required
• Dependable, safety-conscious and able to work independently
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an asset
