Employment North in Gravenhurst, Canada, is seeking a motivated Carpenter to join our construction team. You will construct, install, repair, and maintain structures using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment, delivering quality craftsmanship with safety in mind.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, framing, drywall, siding, concrete forming, and fixture installations on residential and commercial projects, while collaborating with team members to ensure on-time, on-budget

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.
• Proficient in carpentry techniques including woodworking, drywall, siding and concrete forming.
• Experience operating hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment and welding equipment.
• Heavy lifting done safely with proper ergonomics.
• Familiar with concrete finishing and restoration processes.
• Strong problem-solving and detail-oriented craftsmanship.
• Good communication to follow instructions and work with the team.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings to execute construction plans.
• Construct frameworks, walls, floors, ceilings and other components.
• Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform concrete finishing and forming tasks.
• Install siding, drywall, doors and windows.
• Conduct restoration work and update finishes on structures.
• Ensure safety standards and building codes are followed on site.
