Moment Energy Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op to join our Manufacturing team, starting January 2027 in Surrey, BC.

You will support developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for our battery energy storage systems, collaborating with engineering teams to improve workflows and ensure safe, high-quality production. Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Interest in manufacturing processes, production systems, and hardware development.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Inventor, manufacturing drawings, or process documentation is an asset.
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing, quality control, or continuous improvement principles is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and improving manufacturing processes for battery energy storage systems.
• Support the design of manufacturing workflows, production layouts, and assembly processes.
• Design and build of jigs and fixtures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews.
• Help develop and maintain assembly instructions, manufacturing drawings, and process documentation.
• Assist in implementing quality control procedures and performing production quality checks.
• Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting of manufacturing issues on the production floor.
• Help design and improve material handling processes and manufacturing workflows to increase efficiency.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput and reduce waste.
• Support the evaluation and implementation of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
• Provide support during New Product Introduction (NPI) as products transition from R&D to production.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality standards and drawing requirements are met.
