Job summary

Moment Energy Inc. in Surrey, BC, is seeking a Battery Assembly Lead Hand to supervise the final assembly of high‑voltage energy storage systems. You will lead a production team, ensure safety, quality, and traceability, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to scale operations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years’ hands‑on experience with HV battery systems, strong leadership, and proficiency with electrical test equipment and safety standards (CSA Z462/NFPA 70E).

Qualifications

• HV battery systems experience in manufacturing, testing, or industrial settings.
• Experience assembling, integrating, inspecting, and testing electrical/battery systems.
• Hands-on use of electrical test equipment (Megger/Hi-Pot, DMM, battery cyclers).

Responsibilities

• Lead final assembly of high-voltage battery systems, modules, and wiring.
• Install power electronics, control boards, and harnesses with proper termination.
• Record torque, inspect modules and packs for defects and FOD.
• Conduct insulation tests and voltage continuity checks before energizing packs.
• Maintain precise documentation of voltages, serials, and torque values.
