Job summary

Moment Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-op to join our engineering team in Surrey, BC. You will support development and testing of energy storage products while gaining hands-on hardware experience alongside experienced engineers.

You will assist with testing, prototyping, documentation, and design work, applying classroom knowledge to real-world hardware in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with soldering, circuit boards, wiring, system integration or prototyping (academic or project-based).
• Basic knowledge of PCB design tools or electrical design software is helpful.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; detail-oriented with solid documentation and communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the electrical engineering team in developing and improving energy storage products.
• Build and maintain electrical test benches for product validation and testing.
• Assemble and modify electrical components including wire harnessing, soldering, crimping, and circuit board assembly.
• Support the design of PCBs and electrical harnesses for future products.
• Develop test plans, execute testing, and write technical reports.
• Maintain clear and organized engineering documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers to ensure products meet safety, certification, and performance requirements.
