Job summary

The International Group, Inc. (IGI) seeks a designated CPA to own accounting close and cost accounting for its manufacturing entities. This hands-on role closes books, proves the balance sheet, and validates standard cost, then explains P&L drivers to leadership.

You will own month-end close across entities, manage intercompany, and push continuous improvement while ensuring ASPE compliance and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Active CPA designation or in good standing.
• 2–3 years accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of standard cost accounting and cost rolls.
• Hands-on month-end close ownership with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Excellent problem-solving and ability to explain variances clearly.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups) and ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for multiple entities with a firm close calendar.
• Post journal entries: accruals, prepaids, allocations, intercompany, depreciation, and adjustments.
• Perform intercompany reconciliation and elimination; support consolidation.
• Drive close efficiency improvements and document standardization.
• Manage inventory valuation, variances, and capex tracking.
• Provide monthly P&L commentary translating drivers to leadership.
