Job summary

Prime Management Group Inc. in Ingersoll, Ontario, seeks a Cost Accountant to join a manufacturing team. This hands-on role focuses on standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation to drive better business decisions.

Reporting to the Controller, you will partner with Operations, Engineering and Materials to support month-end close and cost-control initiatives, with opportunities for bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• CPA designation or active progress is an asset.
• 3–5 years in cost accounting in manufacturing preferred.
• Strong costing, inventory, and financial reporting knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills; exposure to AS400/CMS400 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard cost system and BOM accuracy.
• Perform product costing and contribution-margin analysis.
• Coordinate periodic standard-cost updates and key assumptions.
• Analyze variances and communicate drivers to leadership.
• Support month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting.
