Job summary

ofi is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, manage balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with global reporting. You will oversee AR/AP processes, assess risk, and support IFRS-compliant accounting across multiple locations, including Halifax, Toronto, and beyond.

The role requires strong IFRS knowledge, advanced Excel, and ERP experience (SAP and Plex).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis ability.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP ERP; Plex ERP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Own balance sheet accounts and provide detailed variance analyses.
• Support group reporting packages and intercompany consolidation inputs.
• Manage AR/AP activities and assess credit risk; ensure proper cutoff and controls.
• Review CapEx, PP&E, leases under IFRS 16, and asset valuations.
