Job summary

Avidbots is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to own product costing, inventory valuation, and gross margin reporting. You will work with Operations, Supply Chain, and FP&A to ensure standard costs are accurate and close processes run on time.

In a manufacturing and SaaS environment with a complex product mix, you will build scalable costing frameworks and provide financial intelligence to drive margins and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, or a related financial reporting role.
• Experience in manufacturing or hardware+SaaS environment with inventory, WIP, COS, and overhead absorption.
• Proven ability to build and maintain standard costing models and analyze variances at component and labour level.
• Strong attention to detail – costing errors impact gross margin and must be accurate.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP-based costing and inventory modules; Epicor experience is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Own product and service costing, including BOM accuracy and overhead allocations.
• Prepare estimates for new product costs and service plan structures.
• Oversee inventory costing, variance analysis, and reconcile to general ledger.
• Post inventory, WIP, and COS entries in the ERP in month-end close.
• Support monthly Gross Margin reporting by unit sales and variance commentary.
• Assist in cost accounting close tasks and provide data for audits.
