Job summary

Qualicare Edmonton Northwest is hiring Health Care Aides to join a compassionate home care team. You will work under supervision and provide essential personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship to clients in their homes.

Ideal candidates hold a Health Care Aide Certificate, have CPR/First Aid, and can travel within the service area. This role emphasizes building relationships with clients and families while maintaining care plans and documentation.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray as a requirement.
• Ability to travel within the location territory as needed.
• Access to Internet or a mobile phone for coordination.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and hygiene tasks.
• Meal preparation for clients.
• Light housekeeping and errands as needed.
• Accompany clients on outings and appointments.
• Support with shopping and medication reminders.
• Assist with ambulation and transportation of clients.
• Provide companionship and follow care plans.
