Job summary

Qualicare Edmonton East is seeking Health Care Aides for flexible, casual part-time roles serving Sherwood Park and East Edmonton communities. You will help with personal care, meals, light housekeeping, medication administration, and safe mobility, while providing companionship and following individualized care plans.

Ideal candidates include HCA-certified or foreign-trained nurses, nursing students, or those registered with Alberta HCA Directory.

Qualifications

• Health Care Aide Certificate or related nursing credential.
• Foreign-trained nursing degree or current nursing student.
• CPR and First Aid certificates.
• Alberta HCA Directory registration (or ability to register).
• TB test or chest x-ray.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable car.

Responsibilities

• Helping with personal care like bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Preparing meals and helping with light cleaning.
• Assisting with medication administration.
• Accompaniment on errands or appointments.
• Providing friendly companionship and conversation.
• Supporting clients as they move around safely.
• Following a care plan and documenting care.
