Job summary

Qualicare Edmonton East is seeking Health Care Aides to support clients in Edmonton East, Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, and Millwoods. Join a compassionate team delivering home care with flexible part-time hours.

You will assist with personal care, meals, medications, errands, companionship, mobility and care-plan documentation, while staying within a supportive environment that values respect and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Health Care Aide Certificate, OR a foreign-trained nursing degree, OR be a current nursing student.
• Alberta HCA Directory registration (or ability to register).
• CPR and First Aid certificate (or willingness to get it).
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable car.
• A kind heart and a desire to help others.

Responsibilities

• Helping with personal care like bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Preparing meals and helping with light cleaning.
• Assisting with medication administration.
• Accompaniment on errands or appointments.
• Providing friendly companionship and conversation.
• Supporting clients as they move around safely.
• Following a care plan and documenting care.
