We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Support Manager to join our Global Finance Strategic Initiative team. This role will support one of our key priorities in Global Finance, specifically aimed at accelerating our financial reporting processes to our Board, CEO, and external stakeholders. The goal of this initiative is to become best in class in Canada and make progress toward achieving the reporting timelines of our US banking peers. This initiative will enable a faster close of actual results, while enhancing forecasting and decision-making capabilities.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Assist in mapping out dependencies and interconnections within the global finance's close and reporting processes.
  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks related to the project, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining project documentation.
  • Interact with a broad range of stakeholders across different departments within and outside of finance to gather information and ensure alignment.
  • Handle the volume of information and data related to the project, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Perform analytics based on survey results and stakeholder feedback to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project support or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting processes and enterprise-wide data systems is a plus
  • Spanish language proficiency is an asset
