Qualifications

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in Track Renewal/Maintenance preferred.
  • Construction and/or manufacturing management experience considered.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Manage and lead a team of employees working on track construction projects. Provide leadership accountability for safety, service, and productivity. Railway experience is preferred, but candidates with a solid construction and/or manufacturing management background will also be considered.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Ensure CPKC regulatory compliance for track projects
  • Promote and enforce CPKC policies, safety practices, and procedures
  • Develop and implement work processes with your team to achieve continuous improvement
  • Mentor team members to improve efficiency and accountability
  • Review planned capital work, materials, and execution requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Construction and/or manufacturing management experience considered in lieu of railway experience
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in Track Renewal/Maintenance preferred
  • Understanding of Red Book, SPCs, GEI
  • Ability to lead project plans and schedules
  • People leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Additional Information:

Position location may change based on organizational needs.

Medical Requirements:

Safety is core to CPKC. All new hires for safety-sensitive positions must pass a pre-employment medical, including physical, vision, hearing, alcohol, and drug assessments, and drug tests. Candidates in the Trainee Program will also need to pass drug tests during training.
