Job description

Job Title: Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager at Woodbridge Foam Corporation is responsible for overseeing the HR functions at the plant/site, ensuring the delivery of HR standards and guidelines, and promoting a healthy, safe, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role involves strategic leadership, employee relations, labor management, health and safety, training, recruitment, performance management, and total rewards management.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership: Contribute to plant management, support business strategies, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
  2. Labour Management & Employee Relations: Lead labor relations, contract administration, and negotiations.
  3. Health, Safety & Environment: Implement HS&E standards, manage injury claims, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  4. Training & Development: Develop training plans, deliver training, and collaborate with corporate development teams.
  5. Recruitment & Selection: Oversee hiring processes, maintain applicant pools, and coordinate onboarding.
  6. Performance & Talent Management: Administer performance systems, identify high potentials, and develop talent.
  7. Total Rewards: Manage compensation, benefits, and communication strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree; HR designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR, preferably in manufacturing or automotive sectors.
  • Experience in unionized environments, contract negotiation, and employee grievances.
  • Strong understanding of HR management, business acumen, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems is an asset.
