Job summary

Altis Technology in Ottawa is seeking a Finance Manager, External Reporting to lead the quarterly and annual external reporting cycle, including consolidated statements, disclosures, and management commentary, while ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.

In this leadership role you will mentor two direct reports, collaborate with tax, treasury, FP&A and audit teams, and drive process improvements to strengthen controls and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, technical accounting, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience in a public company environment and/or Big Four preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP and regulatory disclosure requirements.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a small team in a fast-paced finance environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and disclosure management tools.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex accounting concepts for senior stakeholders.

• Ensure all financial reporting is accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, validate, and align financial information for external reporting.
• Research complex accounting matters, prepare technical accounting memos, and support new accounting standards implementations.
• Oversee relationships with external auditors, coordinate audit activities, and maintain strong reporting controls.
• Mentor and develop two direct reports, providing technical guidance and prioritizing their professional growth.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, systems, and internal controls to drive efficiency and accuracy.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP, regulatory disclosure requirements, and complex consolidations.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a small team in a fast-paced finance environment.
• Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting, and disclosure management tools.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex accounting concepts for senior stakeholders.
