Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA designation or active pursuit of a CPA designation.
• Three+ years of progressive accounting experience in senior accounting, financial reporting, corporate accounting, or cash management.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools.
• Experience preparing complex journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, and analytical reviews.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive, accountable, and collaborative approach; continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and financial reporting activities for corporate and affiliated entities.
• Prepare and review financial statements, working papers, reconciliations, month-end and year-end reporting packages.
• Coordinate annual audits and reviews with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and review tax filings and remittances (GST, PST, T2, and partnership returns).
• Analyze financial results and prepare reports to support management decisions.
• Review and approve accounts payable, distributions, cash calls, and other transactions.
• Participate in accounting system upgrades, process improvements, testing, and reporting enhancements.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to accounting team members and co-op students.
