Job summary

Qualifications

  • CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA designation.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience including senior accounting, financial reporting, corporate accounting, or cash management.
  • Strong knowledge of ASPE and financial statement preparation.
  • Advanced Excel and proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Experience preparing complex journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, and analytical reviews.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proactive, accountable, and collaborative approach to work.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and internal customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting and financial reporting for corporate and affiliated entities.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, working papers, reconciliations, month-end and year-end packages.
  • Coordinate annual audits with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review tax filings and remittances (GST, PST, T2, partnership returns).
  • Analyze financial results and prepare reports for management decisions.
  • Review and approve accounts payable, distributions, cash calls, and other transactions.
  • Participate in system upgrades, process improvements, testing, and reporting enhancements.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to accounting team members and co-ops.

As a key member of our Corporate Finance team, you will play an important role in delivering accurate financial information, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring excellence in financial reporting and compliance.

What You'll Do

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing accounting and financial reporting activities for assigned corporate and affiliated entities.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:
