Job summary

Kassen Recruitment is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead core accounting activities, driving financial reporting, compliance, and performance across multiple entities. This senior role combines hands-on management with process improvement and operational leadership.

Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee month-end close, consolidations, internal controls, and financial analysis while partnering with senior leaders to guide business decisions. Travel will be periodic as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
• CPA designation or active progress toward CPA designation.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting requirements, and internal controls.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Experience working with accounting software and financial reporting systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to take ownership of deliverables and work independently.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to provide clear direction to team members.
• Strong attention to detail while maintaining understanding of broader business objectives.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach to improving processes and supporting business performance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders, operational teams, and other stakeholders.
• Experience working across Canadian and U.S. operations is considered an asset.
• Willingness to travel periodically as business needs require.

What You'll Do

• Assist with consolidating financial information across business units and entities

• Maintain and strengthen internal controls designed to safeguard company assets and improve financial accuracy
• Coordinate information requests and provide support during external reviews and audits
• Prepare management reports, financial analysis, and performance summaries to help leadership understand business trends
• Develop and monitor financial metrics and KPIs in partnership with senior leadership
