Job summary

Primaris REIT in Medicine Hat, AB is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker to perform day-to-day maintenance and customer service duties, ensuring the property is safe and presentable for customers, staff and tenants.

Responsibilities include daily property inspections, minor repairs (drywall, painting, landscaping, basic plumbing & electrical), operating power tools, coordinating with contractors, and providing responsive service to tenants.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent required, college diploma an asset.
• 1 year experience in a similar field.
• Knowledge of a trade or HVAC, etc. an asset.
• Ability to operate power tools & equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Basic PC skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification an asset.

Primaris REIT is currently hiring a dedicated and enthusiastic Maintenance Worker to join our team at our Medicine Hat Mall in Medicine Hat, AB. *Please note this is a temporary contract with an anticipated start date of September 7, 2026 and an anticipated end date of January 31, 2027.

As a Maintenance Worker, your primary responsibility is to perform day to day maintenance and customer service duties required to keep the property safe and presentable for customers, staff and tenants by;

• Performing daily property inspections and promptly reporting repair needs
• Conducting minor property repairs and maintenance tasks including but not limited to dry walling, painting, landscaping, basic plumbing & electrical
• Ensuring property safety and respond to tenant concerns
• Maintaining property cleanliness and curb appeal

Compensation

Expected Salary/Hourly Range

CAD $19.00 – $23.00
