Job summary

Masterfeeds Winnipeg is looking for a Maintenance Person to support Canadian agriculture by keeping warehouse operations running smoothly. You will oversee daily activities, perform general maintenance, load and unload trucks, and assist plant personnel as needed.

This role requires basic mechanical troubleshooting, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and forklift operation. A rotating day/afternoon/night schedule is required, with a competitive wage and benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to communicate in English (verbal/written).
  • Experience operating forklifts is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations in the warehouse and perform maintenance activities.
  • Load and unload trucks as per plant requirements.
  • Perform order fulfillment tasks accurately and on time.
  • Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain warehouse machinery.
  • Coordinate and participate in daily housekeeping activities.
  • Assist plant personnel as needed and as requested by leadership.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Capable of performing physical job duties (may include: lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling and twisting safely)
  • Using personal protective equipment (PPE), must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions (may include: heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow-up
  • Understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Experienced in operating forklifts
  • Ability to work day/afternoon/nights shift rotation
Preferred
  • Have or working towards millwright ticket
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or agricultural setting
  • Trained in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
