Job summary

Masterfeeds Humboldt is seeking a motivated Shipper/Receiver to support Canadian agriculture. The role involves daily warehouse operations, loading/unloading trucks, order fulfillment, and maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment.

You will work with forklifts, manage inventory, and collaborate with plant leadership to keep workflows uninterrupted. We value reliability, safety, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • 1 year experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or retail.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Forklift experience required.
  • Daily adherence to safety procedures.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs / 25 kg repeatedly.
  • Ability to work day/afternoon/nights shift rotation.
  • Strong organizational skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations and general maintenance.
  • Manage shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory.
  • Load and unload trucks per plant requirements.
  • Perform order fulfillment accurately and timely.
  • Ensure finished goods are shipped timely and cost-effectively.
  • Operate forklifts and related warehouse machinery as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow quality standards.
  • Assist plant personnel as needed and support leadership.

  • Oversee daily operations in the warehouse and perform general maintenance activities
  • Responsible for daily operations of shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory management
  • Load and unload trucks as per plant requirements
  • Perform order fulfillment tasks accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure all finished goods are shipped in a timely, cost-effective manner
  • Operate mobile equipment including forklifts in the warehouse as required
  • Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain warehouse machinery
  • Coordinate and participate in daily housekeeping activities
  • Assist plant personnel as needed, and requested by the leadership team
  • Complete necessary documentation to maintained uninterrupted workflow
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Other duties as required

Requirements
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • One year manufacturing, warehouse, office and/or retail experience
  • Customer service experience and excellence
  • Forklift experience is required
  • Daily adherence to workplace safety
  • A proven track record of reliability and safe work habits, which includes keeping all areas clean and clear of obstructions
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Capable of performing physical job duties (Including: lifting up to 50 lbs / 25 kg repeatedly, bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling and twisting safely)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Able to work at elevated heights, as required
  • Other retail setting duties, as required
  • Using personal protective equipment (PPE), must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions (may include: heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow-up
  • Understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Experienced in operating forklifts (1 year)
  • Ability to work day/afternoon/nights shift rotation
Preferred
  • in the agricultural industry and/or sales environment is an asset
  • Experience in a similar role is an asset
  • Safety compliance is of utmost importance and all applicants must have a steadfast commitment to plant safety at their location
  • HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) training is required, HACCP training will be provided by the company annually
  • Have a positive, steady and upbeat approach in day-to-day tasks
  • High school diploma or equivalent
