Job summary

Richardson International is seeking a Maintenance Worker for our Barrhead, AB facility to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment in a milling environment. You will operate boilers to generate steam and contribute to safe, efficient processing.

Ideal candidates have mechanical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot, and a willingness to work a flexible schedule with overtime when needed. Forklift, skid steer, and loader experience are assets for daily operations.

We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Worker at our Barrhead, AB facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance activities on equipment in milling facility
• Operate low volume boilers to generate steam for processing
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a grain processing environment on elevated platforms and ladders where necessary
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively and possess basic computer and problem solving skills
• Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs
• Must be mechanically inclined and interested in performing basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks and comment on improvements on the facility’s needs
• Previous experience with general maintenance and with running forklifts, skid steer loaders, and front end loaders is considered an asset
