Job summary

Richardson International is hiring a Maintenance Lead for its Martensville, SK location. The role leads the maintenance team and oversees preventive maintenance of mechanical equipment, with responsibilities spanning troubleshooting, repairs and after-hours support.

The ideal candidate is a Journeyperson Millwright/Industrial Mechanic with milling or manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and a focus on safety and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Millwright/Industrial Mechanic with milling, processing, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience with parts inventory management, preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, shutdown planning, and technical parts identification.
• Strong leadership to mentor apprentices, train employees and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills to work across departments and respond to emergencies.
• Committed to safety and food safety, with proficiency in business systems.

Responsibilities

• Leads the maintenance team and performs regular preventive maintenance on machinery.
• Troubleshoots, fabricates, repairs and installs equipment per procedures.
• Provides assistance to Maintenance and mill teams.
• Responds to after-hours emergency calls on a rotation.
• Engages the team to meet safety and food safety goals.
• Operates in accordance with health, safety, and fire prevention regulations.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Lead to join our team at our Martensville, SK location. This position is responsible for providing leadership to the maintenance team and maintenance services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads the maintenance team and completes regular preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
• Troubleshoots, fabricates, repairs and installs mechanical equipment/parts in accordance with established procedures.
• Provide assistance to other Maintenance and mill team members.
• Responds to after-hours emergency calls on a rotational basis.
• Actively engages the team in activities to meet safety and food safety goals.
• Operates in accordance with health, safety, and fire prevention regulations and practices.
• Performs other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Journeyperson Millwright/Industrial Mechanic with experience in milling, processing, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with parts inventory management, preventive maintenance programs, equipment repairs, shutdown planning, and technical parts identification.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead maintenance teams, mentor apprentices, train employees, coordinate work activities, and support department performance.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to respond to emergencies, support investigations, and work effectively across departments.
• Committed to safety, food safety, continuous improvement, and company values, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business systems.
