Job summary

Richardson International's Barrhead, AB facility is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on milling equipment and related infrastructure. You will operate boilers and troubleshoot issues to support safety and reliability across the site.

The role requires the ability to work on elevated platforms, a flexible schedule with overtime, and basic computer skills. Prior maintenance experience and forklift/loader familiarity are assets.

We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Worker at our Barrhead, AB facility. As a Maintenance Worker, you are responsible for general maintenance, including the facility site, buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance activities on equipment in milling facility
• Operate low volume boilers to generate steam for processing
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a grain processing environment on elevated platforms and ladders where necessary
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively and possess basic computer and problem solving skills
• Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs
• Must be mechanically inclined and interested in performing basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks and comment on improvements on the facility's needs
• Previous experience with general maintenance and with running forklifts, skid steer loaders, and front end loaders is considered an asset
