Job summary

Richardson International in Portage la Prairie, MB is hiring a Production Worker (Packaging Operator) to operate the packaging system and ensure products are sealed and prepared for shipping in accordance with product specs. This role requires working 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, and cooperating with teammates to maintain safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Computer knowledge is an asset.
• Experience operating mobile equipment considered an asset.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to work well as part of a team.
• Solid oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs and troubleshooting activities on packaging equipment.
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned to meet standards in all areas of the warehouse and grounds.
• Accurately complete documentation for all processes.
• Perform quality and food safety checks of finished goods and equipment.
• Operates in accordance with all food safety, safety, and fire prevention regulations and practices.
• Perform other duties as required.
