Job summary

Richardson International Limited in Portage la Prairie, MB, is hiring a Material Handling Operator to support shipping and receiving, binning, loading railcars and trucks, and routine equipment checks. Reporting to Elevator Manager, you'll work with standard procedures and contribute to safe, efficient operations.

The role requires Grade 12, ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, strong interpersonal skills, and the option to use a forklift; experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Must be self-directed, able to work independently and have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work a rotating shift, including overtime on weekends.
• Experience operating a forklift is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with binning, cleaning, drying, blending, and storing of product within the facility.
• Prepare railway cars and/or trucks, including weighing and identifying product for shipment.
• Operating systems to transfer and load product into railcars and/or trucks, including cleaning and sealing trucks and/or rail cars.
• Assist with sampling and testing.
• Perform routine maintenance on material handling systems and completing all related documents as required.

We currently have an opportunity for a Material Handling Operator at our Portage la Prairie, MB facility. Reporting to the Elevator Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with shipping and receiving of deliveries in accordance with standard documented procedures and checking for damaged products.

Responsibilities

• Assist with binning, cleaning, drying, blending, and storing of product within the facility
