Job summary

Richardson International is seeking a Material Handling Operator at the Portage la Prairie, MB facility. Reporting to the Elevator Manager, the role assists with shipping and receiving and ensures procedures are followed for product handling.

The position requires Grade 12 education, the ability to work a rotating shift (including overtime on weekends), and the potential to leverage forklift experience as an asset. Richardson offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist with binning, cleaning, drying, blending, and storing of product within the facility.
• Prepare railway cars and/or trucks, including weighing and identifying product for shipment.
• Operating systems to transfer and load product into railcars and/or trucks, including cleaning and sealing trucks and/or rail cars.
• Assist with sampling and testing.
• Perform routine maintenance on material handling systems and completing all related documents as required.

Reporting to the Elevator Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with shipping and receiving of deliveries in accordance with standard documented procedures and checking for damaged products.

Responsibilities

• Assist with binning, cleaning, drying, blending, and storing of product within the facility
• Prepare railway cars and/or trucks, including weighing and identifying product for shipment
• Operating systems to transfer and load product into railcars and/or trucks, including cleaning and sealing trucks and/or rail cars
• Assist with sampling and testing
