Job summary

Richardson International is seeking a Maintenance Worker for our Barrhead, AB facility to maintain the site, buildings, and equipment. You will ensure smooth operations by performing routine maintenance and addressing infrastructure needs.

Responsibilities include repairs, preventive maintenance on milling equipment, and boiler operation for processing. A flexible schedule and overtime may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a grain processing environment and on elevated platforms.
• Flexible schedule with overtime when needed.
• Read, write and communicate effectively; basic computer and problem solving skills.
• Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs; mechanically inclined for maintenance tasks.

We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Worker at our Barrhead, AB facility. As a Maintenance Worker, you are responsible for general maintenance, including the facility site, buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance activities on equipment in milling facility
• Operate low volume boilers to generate steam for processing
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a grain processing environment on elevated platforms and ladders where necessary
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively and possess basic computer and problem solving skills
• Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs
• Must be mechanically inclined and interested in performing basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks and comment on improvements on the facility's needs
• Previous experience with general maintenance and with running forklifts, skid steer loaders, and front end loaders is considered an asset
