The YMCA-YWCA of Vancouver Island is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician in Langford, BC. This permanent full-time role (35 hours/week) involves maintaining buildings, systems and equipment to YMCA standards, with a focus on preventative maintenance and safety.
You'll work with the Facilities team, respond to work orders, and coordinate with contractors, while delivering friendly service to members and the public. Includes membership and benefits after probation.

Placement:August 2026 (start date negotiable)
Wage Range:$34.00 – $36.00 per hour
Shifts:Sunday to Thursday (Sunday 7:00am – 2:30pm, Monday – Thursday 1:45pm – 8:15pm)
Reporting to the Manager of Facility Maintenance (Westhills), the successful applicant will work in a “hands-on” capacity to ensure the buildings, systems, and equipment are in excellent condition in keeping with Association and YMCA Canada standards. This includes adhering to planned maintenance schedules for equipment and the facility, addressing any concerns that arise, undertaking emergency repairs, and assisting in related projects as assigned. This position may require some flexibility to cover other shifts if required.
